50 km to the north of Lyon, in the heart of the Beaujolais Crus, Château du Bourg is a sturdy 18th century building at the hub of an 18 hectare vinegrowing estate in the village of Fleurie.

Bruno, Denis and Patrick Matray are three brother vinegrower-winemakers who are the inheritors of family know-how.

The family’s viticultural origins go right back to Jacques Matray who was born in 1731 and was a vinegrower-winemaker in Chiroubles, the neighbouring Cru.

Today, we perpetuate his love of making convivial wines with personality.
